The Panhellenic Association at The University of Akron is the governing body for our five sororities, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. I have the honor of working with an Executive Board composed of outstanding leaders from different chapters in our community. Our council strives to unify and maintain sorority life and interfraternal relations as well as coordinate sorority recruitment, plan events to promote leadership, and help educate new members. The Panhellenic Association is the largest women’s organization on campus with over 300 members, and consistently maintains over a 3.0 GPA community GPA, which is higher than the all undergraduate women’s average GPA. Greek Life provides opportunities to be involved in intramural sports, Songfest, Greek Week, philanthropic events, and many others. By joining a sorority, you enter into a network of individual organizations that together create one unified community. Although each chapter is unique in its’ own way, they were all founded on the values of academic excellence, leadership development, philanthropic involvement, and developing a bond of sisterhood that lasts a lifetime. Sorority life has given me the opportunity to learn, grow, and become a leader. President of the Panhellenic Council The University of Akron |
